Wallpaper or paint your bedroom?
Wednesday, December 8th, 2010Do you wallpaper or paint? I’m sure that has been a discussion that you and your wife or partner have had when the time has come to redecorate the bedroom. The woman’s view is to wallpaper but you are thinking of the extra work involved in wallpapering and try to convince her that painting is the best option!!
First thing is to decide the look and feel you both want to achieve. Generally a calm and relaxed feel will be required as this is a room that you will spend a third of every day in. Questions to ask before buying bedroom furniture
Monday, December 6th, 2010Buying bedroom furniture should not be an impulse decision. Due consideration of all aspects of your bedroom should be taken into account:

How many wardrobes will I need? Could some pieces be dual purpose? If I have a large bedroom, should I go for larger items i.e. a triple wardrobe which may look more in proportion in the room? AKKA Bedroom Furniture and where it’s wood comes from
Monday, November 8th, 2010At AKKA bedroom furniture we take the responsibilty of using ethical timbers very seriously. This means that we only use our american timbers that come with a forestry stewardship council stamp. This will identify that the timber has been sourced from a mill and forest owners that participate in managing it’s forests by re-planting trees after logging has taken place. This encourages people who live in the poorer parts of the world to see that they can still make money from the trees but also still see their natural habitat not totally disappear around them. Good lighting is very important, you should make sure you have several layers of lighting or use a dimmer switch to adjust the energy. Candles are best, but be sure to buy ones with no toxins. (more…)
