Some of you will have come across our site before and will have seen it grow. When we formed akka about five years ago, we started off with a small set of oak beds and a couple of matching pieces of bedroom furniture. Now you can see our range has grown into a comprehensive and complete range of oak bedroom furniture such as our variety of oak wardrobes and wooden chests of drawers that will go in any room. The range has expanded to include a variety of accessories including wooden dressing tables, a blanket box and bedside cabinets.
Not only has the demand for the range of oak furniture increased, we have recently seen a surge in demand for walnut beds and walnut bedroom furniture. We should have seen it coming really; whilst we are extremely proud of our oak bedroom furniture and our oak beds, there is little as beautiful as the deep rich grain of walnut furniture. Many of our wooden chests that are available in oak are also now available in walnut.
Wooden Beds

Adrian and Kevin at akka believe it deserves to be crafted into something beautiful for a home to enjoy for a lifetime. That is why all of our wooden bedroom furniture is made to be as complete as it can and joined using traditional methods rather than with screwdrivers, alan keys and glue. The cabinets have neat dovetail joins in the drawers and slide smoothly into place, just as you would expect.
Quality starts with the thoughtful design of a product. We pick the best quality oak, walnut, veneer and oils. All of our oak furniture and walnut furniture tops are colour-matched, as are the drawer fronts which gives a uniform, solid look.
Finally, the piece is hand oiled three times to give an exceptionally smooth feel. Our craftsmen have been trained to produce the very highest standards, set by you our customer.
